Warm Temps and Water Damage

Disconnected Water Hose Don't forget to disconnect your water hose this season!

Mother Nature

We have certainly experienced some wacky weather over the past few weeks – one day it feels like sweet summertime and the 24 hours later the temperature is below freezing. Take the plants in and then take them out. Most of us have already prepared for the winter months ahead – firewood stacked, hoses disconnected, and water lines wrapped and ready. But let’s those temperatures get above 60 and we are all ready to wash the car and clean the deck. That’s ok- enjoy it!  However, remember those temperatures can drop overnight so make sure to check the outside water connections. If you feel the need to wash the windows or spruce up your deck on those warm days you will need to disconnect those water supply lines and drain your hoses to avoid those lines freezing and causing some major water damage. Winter is here but summer is showing her pretty face from time to time. Be a step ahead and prepared!
