Winter and Water Damage

It may not be officially Winter just yet – but the below freezing temperatures are saying otherwise. If you haven’t prepared your home for the freezing weather – you better get busy!  It is recommended to check your water supply lines yearly. Your entire home needs to have a leak checkup to avoid a costly repair. Inspect your water supply lines and your washing machine hoses for sign of wear and tear. Check your hot water heater and all other household appliances for any leaks. Replace the hoses as needed – it is recommended to change them every 5 years even if they look good to you! Clean and check your gutters and remove any debris. Fallen leaves and buildup in your gutter and down spouts can cause major roof and water damage to your home.
