National Hurricane preparedness week officially kicked off yesterday, May 9– this is yearly event is observed in May to help educate better prepare families and business for the threat of a tropical storm or hurricane.  This is especially important if you live in a hurricane evacuation zone.  If you do – you want to involve your family – coworkers and friends to get a plan in place. Guidelines are set for each day to put your plan in place.

Sunday – Day 1 – Determine your Risk

Monday – Day 2 – Develop an Evacuation Plan

Tuesday – Day 3 – Assemble Disaster Supplies

Wednesday – Day 4 – Review Insurance Policy

Thursday – Day 5 – Strengthen Your Home

Friday – Day 6 – Help you Neighbor.

Saturday – Day 7 – Finalize your Plan
